By using ParkMoto, you're agreeing to these terms. They're straightforward. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
ParkMoto is a free tool that helps motorcycle riders find parking bays in London. We show bay locations, whether they're free or paid, and how to navigate there. The app is free to use. No registration, no paywall.
We work hard to keep bay data accurate, but we can't guarantee it. Bay locations come from OpenStreetMap (contributed by volunteers) and London council datasets (published under the Open Government Licence). Bays get added, removed, and changed by councils without notice.
A bay that shows as "free" on ParkMoto might have become paid. A bay that shows on the map might have been removed. A bay marked with a certain capacity might have changed. Always check the physical signage at the bay before parking your motorcycle.
ParkMoto is an information tool, not a source of legal or professional advice. Nothing on this app should be interpreted as guidance on where it is lawful to park. Local signage, council regulations, and traffic enforcement orders take precedence over anything displayed in ParkMoto.
You can use ParkMoto to find motorcycle parking bays, navigate to them, report missing or incorrect bays, and contribute to OpenStreetMap. That's what it's for.
You can't use ParkMoto's code, data, or design to build a competing product. You can't scrape the app or use automated tools to extract data (the data comes from OSM anyway, which is freely available under the Open Database Licence).
ParkMoto links to third-party services including Google Maps, Waze, Google Street View, and RingGo for navigation and payment. We also use Nominatim and Photon for location search. These are external services we don't control. We're not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or privacy practices. Use them subject to their own terms.
If you report a missing or incorrect bay via the "+" button, your report is sent to us by email. We review reports and update OpenStreetMap where appropriate. By sending a report, you're giving us permission to use the information (bay location, description) to improve the map. We won't publish your email address.
Bay location data comes from OpenStreetMap, which is available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Map tiles come from CARTO. ParkMoto's contributions to OSM are made under the same licence, meaning they're free for anyone to use.
Some bay data comes from London borough council datasets, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We attribute each council as the data source in our OSM contributions and in the app where relevant.
ParkMoto is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it'll be available all the time, that the data will be accurate, or that the app will work on every device. We're a small project doing our best. We fix bugs when we find them and respond to reports when we get them.
If you find a security vulnerability in ParkMoto, please report it responsibly. Our security contact information is at /.well-known/security.txt. We don't run a bug bounty programme and can't offer financial rewards for reports, but we'll acknowledge your contribution and fix the issue.
By using ParkMoto, you agree that parking decisions are your responsibility. You will not hold ParkMoto, its contributors, or its operators liable for any fines, charges, penalties, vehicle removal, or other consequences arising from your use of information displayed in the app. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ParkMoto, its contributors, and operators from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of information displayed in the app.
We might update these terms occasionally. If we do, we'll change the date at the top. Continued use of ParkMoto after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
